Instructions for smoking

Since smoking is a barrier in fulfilling our mission as a healthcare provider, many hospitals have made their facilities smoke-free, including buildings, parking lots and other properties. United Doctors Hospital is trying to impose a zero-tolerance policy towards smoking by stating that employees cannot smoke when in uniform, including when they’re wearing a hospital badge. Smoke detectors are fitted throughout the Hospital to ensure patients, visitors and staff compliance on the said policy and to make certain that our customers are safe from any fire hazards. But in most cases this doesn’t extend to their employees when they’re not at any of these facilities. Currently smoking is not allowed in our hospitals, but designated smoking areas are available.
